Virtual Interior Design — Terms of Business - Project London

Virtual Interior Design — Terms of Business

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Business apply to any booking of Project London’s Virtual Interior Design service (“the Service”). This includes the Design Discovery consultation and any Curated Room Design or Signature Room Design booked following it (each a “Package”). By submitting a booking and completing payment, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these terms.

These terms should be read alongside the package descriptions and inclusions published at projectlondon.co.uk/virtual-interior-design, which form part of your agreement with us.

Accepting these terms when you book your Design Discovery call binds you to these terms for the whole of your engagement with the Studio, including any Package you go on to book and the payment terms that apply to it. You will not be asked to accept these terms again when your second invoice is issued; making payment of that invoice, or otherwise instructing the Studio to proceed with a Package, is treated as continued acceptance of the terms you have already agreed.

2. Definitions

  • “Design Discovery” means the initial one-to-one consultation call described further at clause 3. One Design Discovery call covers the Client’s whole project, regardless of how many rooms are discussed.
  • “Package” means Curated Room Design or Signature Room Design as selected by the Client for a given room.
  • “Design Fee” means the fee payable for a Package, priced per room in accordance with the Studio’s current Design Fees, as confirmed to the Client following their Design Discovery call.
  • “Concept mood board” means the initial design concept shared with the Client following the Design Discovery call, once the Client has proceeded with a Package.
  • “Design Pack” means the final, complete set of materials produced by the Studio for a given room, including specification, sourcing links and pricing detail, delivered to the Client following the follow-up consultation call and any revisions.
  • “Studio” or “we/us/our” means Project London.

3. Booking and Fees

  • Design Discovery is charged at £300 inc. VAT. One Design Discovery call covers the Client’s whole project, however many rooms the Client wants to discuss.
  • The Design Discovery fee is credited in full toward the Client’s Design Fee, provided the Client proceeds within 30 days of the Design Discovery call.
  • Following the Design Discovery call, the Studio will send a follow-up email confirming the scope discussed and setting out one invoice covering the Design Fee for all rooms discussed (with the £300 already paid deducted). Full payment of this invoice is required before any design work begins.
  • Design Fees are priced per room according to the Studio’s current Design Fees, and are confirmed to the Client after their Design Discovery call rather than quoted as a flat headline price in advance.
  • All fees are quoted inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Billing address details must be provided in full as part of the booking process.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

  • All fees paid to the Studio, including the Design Discovery fee, are non-refundable.
  • Payment of the Design Fee invoice is requested within 7 days of it being sent. The Client will be sent a follow-up if payment has not been received by then.
  • If the Design Fee remains unpaid 30 days after the invoice was sent, the Studio reserves the right (but is not obliged) to treat the project as cancelled. Where the Studio exercises this right, the Client will not receive any design work, the concept mood board, the follow-up consultation call, or the completed Design Pack, and the Design Discovery fee already paid is forfeited.
  • If the Client wishes to cancel a booking prior to their Design Discovery call taking place, the fee already paid remains non-refundable but may, at the Studio’s discretion, be transferred to a future booking.

5. Revisions

  • Curated Room Design and Signature Room Design each include one round of consolidated revisions following presentation of the concept mood board, within which the Client may amend up to five items.
  • Revisions beyond this scope, or requested after the follow-up consultation call, are chargeable at the Studio’s standard hourly rate.

6. Ownership and Use of Deliverables

  • Once paid for, the Client is free to use their Design Pack, concept mood board and sourcing information as they wish, including sharing it with, or handing implementation to, a third-party contractor, tradesperson or other designer.
  • The Studio retains no ongoing rights over how the Client chooses to implement the design following delivery of the final Design Pack.

7. Third-Party Suppliers and Product Availability

  • Sourcing recommendations are based on availability at the time the Design Pack is prepared. Product prices and availability are set by third-party suppliers and may change after the Design Pack is issued.
  • The Studio is not liable for price changes, stock unavailability, delivery delays or the acts, errors or omissions of any third-party supplier, contractor or tradesperson engaged by the Client, whether recommended by the Studio or not.
  • Where a recommended product becomes unavailable within 30 days of the Design Pack being issued, the Studio will suggest a suitable alternative maintaining the design intent. Beyond this 30 day window, the Studio is under no obligation to provide further sourcing support.

8. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client is responsible for providing accurate room measurements, photographs, and other information requested via the design questionnaire. The quality and accuracy of the design is dependent on the information provided.
  • Paint quantities and costs are not included within the design budget, as these can only be accurately calculated once ceiling heights and full room dimensions are confirmed on site.

9. Scope and Package Changes

  • By accepting these terms, the Client confirms they understand and accept the specific inclusions of the Package they have selected, as set out in the current package comparison published by the Studio.
  • Any request to add further rooms, or to change the scope of an existing booking, is treated as a new or amended booking and quoted separately; it does not automatically fall within the original Package fee.
  • The Client may upgrade their Package at any point during the process; the Studio will adjust the project and fees accordingly.

9. Your responsibility

It is your responsibility to verify all information set out on “the site” with independent authorities before acting or relying on it. It is your responsibility to use virus-checking software on any material downloaded from “the site” and to ensure the compatibility of such software with your equipment.

10. Liability

  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the Studio’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
  • Save for the exceptions above, the Studio’s total liability to the Client arising from or in connection with the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the total fees paid by the Client for the Package in question.
  • The Studio is not liable for any indirect, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, or the cost of remedial works carried out by a third party.

11. General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • Details on how we handle personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy, available at projectlondon.co.uk.
  • Company registration number: 12485164.
