Tour Hurlingham Park's green kitchen and nature-inspired rooms as featured in Kitchen, Bedrooms & Bathrooms.
We recently had one of our Parsons Green projects featured by Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms, spotlighting a home that perfectly captures our approach to thoughtful, nature-led design.
The brief was to transform a late Victorian terrace into a calm, light-filled family home that would work seamlessly for clients dividing their time between London and South Africa. From the outset, we wanted the interiors to feel grounded, warm and connected to nature — without losing the practicality required for everyday living.
At the heart of the home is the kitchen. Designed as a social and visual anchor, it features rich green lacquered oak veneers paired with darker timber elements and Taj Mahal quartzite worktops. The colour palette was inspired by the surrounding landscape, bringing a sense of depth and calm into the space while still feeling contemporary. Skylights and large sliding doors flood the kitchen with natural light, strengthening the connection between indoors and out.
Beyond the kitchen, the same biophilic principles continue throughout the house. Bedrooms and bathrooms follow a cohesive material story, using natural textures, earthy tones and carefully considered detailing to create a sense of continuity across all levels of the home. Every space was designed to feel intentional, calm and effortlessly liveable.
This project is a great example of how a strong concept — in this case, nature-inspired design — can guide every decision, from layout and materials to finishes and flow. It’s not just about creating a beautiful kitchen, but about shaping a home that feels balanced, functional and deeply personal.
