Kensington Place

This elegant period home in Kensington has undergone a meticulous transformation, balancing classic architectural heritage with the demands of modern living. Retaining and restoring its stunning Georgian façade was a priority, ensuring the property remained true to its historic character while undergoing significant structural improvements to meet contemporary building standards.

The renovation required extensive underpinning and structural reinforcement, bringing the property in line with all new-build regulations. A carefully considered interior layout optimises space and natural light, creating a seamless flow between traditional and contemporary elements.

Bespoke joinery was integrated throughout, combining craftsmanship with practicality, while a refined palette of materials enhances the property’s sense of understated luxury. The result is a truly unique family home that blends the best of past and present with remarkable style, offering an elegant and functional living environment in one of London’s most sought-after locations.

Our brief was to maximise the footprint and design the house with a modern family in mind, ensuring it would achieve the strongest possible result on the open market.

Every inch of space was considered, and creating distinctive selling points throughout ultimately led to a record sale price for the road and surrounding area. The design strikes a beautiful balance between classic and contemporary, with timeless detailing and a warm, inviting feel. One of the most rewarding challenges was transforming the old coal vaults at the front of the house into a hidden wet room sanctuary - a compact space that demanded clever architectural and interior design thinking to bring to life
