Project London featured in The London Magazine: 2026 interior trends
We’re proud to see Lion House showcased across pages 42–43, alongside expert commentary from our Head of Interior Design, Marcelina, on one of 2026’s defining ideas: material drenching
The London Magazine, 2026 Trend…
Material drenching: depth, cohesion and atmosphere
Material drenching goes beyond colour. It’s about layering a single material across walls, cabinetry and architectural details to create immersive, cohesive spaces that feel intentional rather than decorative. In the feature, Marcelina highlights how this approach allows interiors to feel calm yet expressive, using texture and repetition to anchor a room emotionally as well as visually.
As Marcelina explains in the article, material drenching is “one of the most effective ways to create cohesion and character, while limiting the palette ensures the space remains striking without overwhelming.” She notes that this approach works particularly well in dressing rooms, cinema rooms and bathrooms, where atmosphere and tactility are key to the experience.
Lion House: craftsmanship-led, quietly confident
The images of Lion House included in the feature exemplify this philosophy in practice. The project celebrates layered materials, refined detailing and a sensitivity to scale, hallmarks of Project London’s design approach. Rather than chasing trend-led statements, the spaces focus on longevity, warmth and a sense of lived-in elegance.
This aligns closely with the wider themes identified by The London Magazine for 2026: a move away from perfection, a renewed appreciation for craftsmanship, and interiors that prioritise comfort, storytelling and individuality.
Looking ahead
Being featured in The London Magazine’s annual trends issue is an honour, and a meaningful moment for our studio. It reflects our commitment to creating interiors that are both timeless and forward-looking—spaces rooted in materiality, craft and considered design decisions.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to continue exploring these ideas with our clients, creating homes that feel deeply personal, beautifully resolved and designed to stand the test of time.
